"Hi, I'm Roo Palmer. I am the author of "Dale", a series of Australian Christian family friendly novels.
"Dale. A Love Story" is a delightful story, smothered with mystery, suspense and honesty.
When a little six year old boy is abandoned on a Melbourne doorstep, his family and community around him soon become aware of where his courage, faith and amazing ability lies.
It is an inspirational story, warming the heart, and tingling the toes with dignity and value.
The reader will be transposed into another dimension, experiencing a breath of fresh, fragrant air in a world of pain, tragedy and heartache.
As this little boy grows, his secret and very painful past slowly reveals the truth of who was involved in his earlier life...and why he responds to his community in the way he does. Who are his family and where are they? What is God doing here?
His story continues...in "Dale. Image of Innocence" Another young lad, coming out of a neglected world, appears to reveal more out of his own world and bitter past than he was willing to learn and accept. But, suddenly, the effective truth comes to the surface, but not without the pressures and struggles of normal living associated with understanding attitudes amongst his community.
But experiences are testing enough for this family, but somehow lessons are learnt and a developing boy becomes a treasure of those around him.
What is God up to here? When out of the blue comes a young single mother, bearing the HIV virus in her bloodstream, along with the side effects of prejudice, and gossip mongers added to the menu. It takes one man to accomplish her dream. One man to offer her...something of hope...but what?
...but as time continues on, time also comes to the foreshores of bitter memories, soul searching and nightmares. How can this be? Why is this happening now when things were going so well? A time long past in the history of Australia develops more unwelcomed secrets, more questions and they just want it to stop. What is God trying to show these people?
My name is Roo Palmer and I'm the author of these "Dale" series of Christian novels and stories. I want the reader to be inspired, moved and uplifted by a new hope that lives in us.
For readers who are looking for fictional novels that will breathe fresh fragrant air from the wings of heaven into your family and friends and neighours, these stories are for you. Raising children, communicating with others with positive ideals and influences is a mammoth task.
But these stories will inspire you, and open new ideas into how to react and deal with alot of different areas of our lives.
It's about the Light of Christ moving through our hearts to be influenced in practical ways when confronting many issues today, and learning to support each other without compromising The Truth of His Message of Salvation.
These days, our Christian children and us are more stressed by all the lies and political pressures that are around today that we used to be. Children need to know what is truth and what is not, what is exaggerated, what is false, what is commissioned by God and what isn't, and coming to realise how to respond by dealing with the truth in the seed in people's hearts to begin with can encourage us to react as Christ would want us to.
WE ALL NEED PRACTICE IN HOW TO LOVE..and these stories offer practical solutions.
Please order 'Dale. A Love Story,' then you will find yourself being transformed under the Light of the Holy Spirit's teaching that you will want to read the continuing saga as you desire to learn more of His love.
These books DO NOT replace the Authority and Teaching of The Bible, but offer simple and practical methods of using Scripture in every day life and circumstances. You will love his story..and I have had plenty of feedback that tells me these are good stories to sit down and relax with.
Whenever I watch the tv news and current affairs, I am amazed at the amount of good, positive stories that are being ignored and rejected because the networks want to take on 'the bad' stuff all the time...simply because it gets the ratings. Why are we like this? Why is it more a need in our world to watch the tragedy, misery, suffering and destruction than see an inspirational story that brings people a sense of gratitude and faith in mankind. Well, my market is the reader who wants to be uplifted, not dragged down...so that they can help raise their children in an environment of happiness and rapport.
My novels are family orientated books, dealing with many issues, many circumstances in family and community life. They are entertaining and full of drama. The reader is taken through a series of everyday and unusual situations that create a variety of different positive outcomes, yet the conflicts and character's responses still hold the reader at the edge of their seats into an entertaining story that is hard to put down.

Book Review
by Phyllis R. Moses
“Dale” is a charming story about an ordinary Australian family whose love and compassion reach out beyond familiar boundaries to encompass an abused, abandoned young man. “Dale” is more than a story about God’s endless love as portrayed by this family. It’s a story of how the miracle of unconditional love permeates hearts and changes lives.
Joel and Simone were already parents when they met Dale. Yet, their concern for this boy became imperative. They reached out, overcoming obstacles, facing opposition in many shapes, and enveloped him in their loving hearts and arms. Dale was seriously injured in an automobile wreck that took the life of his birth mother. Simone reacted out of her deep tenderness to bring him the healing that bound him to her and, ultimately, their entire family.
How is an adopted child integrated into a family already set on their life paths? What areas of life-style are altered or changed by this new family member? The entire family explores past years in this young man’s life. This search uncovered unspeakable hurts and abuse, yet God’s love and forgiveness triumphed in bringing about joy and peace in the lives of this family.
The author deftly guides us through their lives; lives with problems, lives with human weaknesses and strengths, often facing unanswerable dilemmas. Surely, there were problems, but there were also joyful resolutions. The threads of family activity weave a beautiful tapestry-a work of art that shows the results of committed Christian living. It also demonstrates to all a model of a family who knows that obedience is part of God’s perfect will.
Furthermore, it’s a story of a couple who lived for something bigger than themselves, getting lost in a cause for someone else, setting their eyes and hearts on Jesus.
This book inspired me, delighted me and instructed me. If a novel can achieve this, then it’s a book to be savored.
